TCM Classic Film Festival: ‘Funny Girl’ – m.NYPOST.com

Barbra Streisand wasn’t on hand for Thursday night’s opening night presentation of “Funny Girl” at the TCM Classic Film Festival, apparently recovering from the adulation at her Monday night tribute at Lincoln Center. But she did send a letter to director William Wyler’s daughter that Catherine Wyler read at that event praising the glorious new restoration supervised by Sony’s Grover Crisp. Indeed, it’s a real beaut that will be released on Blu-ray on Tuesday.
